Aniimo Languages, Controller and Steam Deck Support

Official Steam controller troubleshooting, the November Steam Deck support plan and a clearly labeled community Proton workaround.

For a Steam controller that does not respond, the official FAQ says to disable Steam Input and restart. Full Steam Deck support was planned for November, not confirmed complete. The FAQ was rechecked October 11; neither a plan nor its community workaround is a Steam Deck Verified rating.

Console and controller fixes in 1.0.3732728.0

AreaOfficial change
Console stabilityReduced crash probability in Holo-Battle and NPC duels
LoadingOptimized Holo-Battle and Egg Heist loading
Console chatFixed incorrect message order
Home controller inputAdded Select All for batch acceleration and fixed an input conflict
Controller focusFixed focus errors that could use Sparkling Sigil on the wrong target

Install the official update and restart before retesting. “Reduced crash probability” is not a promise of zero crashes, and the note does not establish complete compatibility for every controller or handheld PC.

How do I fix a Steam controller that is not working?

In Steam Library, open Aniimo > Manage > Properties > Controller, select Disable Steam Input, then restart the game. This is the official launch FAQ workaround, not confirmation for every controller model. Record your gamepad model and client version if it still fails.

Is Aniimo Steam Deck support complete?

The developer FAQ says full Steam Deck compatibility is still being worked on and was planned for November. This is a historical target, not a guaranteed release date or confirmation of completion. AniimoDex has not tested Deck performance or confirmed a Valve compatibility rating.

What is the community Proton workaround?

The developer republished a community suggestion: Steam Library > Aniimo > Properties > Compatibility, force Proton 10.0.0-4. It is not an AniimoDex-tested fix, a compatibility guarantee or an instruction to install third-party builds. Note your original setting and restore it if the workaround fails.

Which languages and controller models are supported?

Use the current language table on your official storefront, distinguishing interface, subtitles and audio. The sources here do not provide a complete PC gamepad matrix, rebinding specification or tested performance profile for handheld PCs. Console support does not prove every PC controller works.

How do I report a persistent control or Deck issue?

Use Menu > Support or F10. If the game cannot launch, use the official Support Center in Sources or aniimo_support@aniimo.com. Include client version, device/controller model, Proton version when applicable, exact error and reproduction steps. Keep account details and logs private.
