How to Catch Aniimo: Aniipods, Traps and Spawn Conditions
An official-source guide to the catching mechanics confirmed so far.
Official store descriptions confirm that players use Aniipods, traps and timing to catch Aniimo, while environment, weather, phenomena and time of day affect appearances.
Cannot catch the Alpha in the current state: what to check
Official patch 1.0.3616231.0 on September 29 marks an intermittent Alpha-catching failure with this exact message as fixed. That does not mean every capture restriction is a bug. First check for updates through your official platform. If the same message persists, send official support the client version, Alpha name, location, screenshot and reproduction steps. No force-catch method, guaranteed workaround or capture probability is established by this notice.
Practical guidance added October 14, 2026 from the dated official sources listed below. Historical fixes and developer plans are not new patch releases or independently tested guarantees.

How is the Aniimo catch rate calculated?
The official probability disclosure now publishes separate formulas for out-of-combat, in-combat and defeated targets. Published factors include the regional base rate, character catch bonus, cube type, level difference, target HP, backstrike and status effects.
What catch bonuses are officially confirmed?
Examples include Advanced Cubes at ×1.5, several higher cubes at ×2, a valid out-of-combat backstrike at ×1.5, BREAK at ×1.5 and ordinary sleep or stun at ×2. Some states force success or make a target impossible to catch.
A per-creature percentage still requires that Aniimo's configured base-rate group and current encounter conditions. AniimoDex does not guess an unmapped template rate.
Three official-coefficient examples
| Scenario | Published factors | Relative multiplier before the unknown base rate |
|---|---|---|
| Out-of-battle standard cube with a valid backstrike | Standard cube 1x; backstrike 1.5x | 1.5x |
| In battle at 0% HP with ordinary sleep | HP 2x; ordinary sleep 2x | 4x |
| Target is 15 or more levels above the character | Level coefficient 0.1x | 0.1x before other factors |
These examples compare published modifiers only. They are not final catch percentages because the Aniimo template base rate, region stage, evolution stage, cube and any other active factors must also be known.
